Mover

Sophie is on the move. December 1st we had lift off when she finally worked out that she had to move her hands if she wanted to get anywhere. She is now well and truly finding her way around the house (and into things she shouldn't be!) and is starting to try to pull herself up to stand on things.
For the last month she has not been happy if we try to sit her down - whether it is on the floor or in the car set - and this is still the case as she hasn't worked out how to get from sitting to crawling without scaring herself or bumping her head.
She has been very different to Hayden in that she very much wants to stay with Mum or Dad and doesn't like being passed around at all. She is improving a little bit, but is especially grumpy if she is tired.
She has a very healthy appetite, and is still sleeping through the night (plus a couple of naps during the day). no sign of any teeth yet.

Little Princess is 6 months!

Well,well. 6 months already!

Check up with the maternal health nurse went well. Cruising at the moment.

Measurements:

6.77kgs

64 cm long (I like to say tall!)

Brown eyes have become even browner! (Beautiful!)

Hair growing - can now cover over bald sleeping patch with comb-over hair!

Started giggling lots when tickled.

Rolling over from back to tummy - when Hayden is around helping her!

Sitting up occasionally by herself - usually when propped and pre balanced on soft surfaces!

Very responsive and alert.

Still sleeping really well.

Onto and loving solid foods - fruit and veg at this stage.

On the 29th June Sophie and her big brother Hayden got a visit from Aunty Masha and Uncle Monkey. This was because they realised they had no photo's of little Sophie. Here are some of the photo's that Uncle Monkey took for Aunty Marsha

Made it!!

Well it took eight weeks, but Sophie has finally made it to Hayden's birth weight.
4.91kg at eight weeks, which is about 35 gms over Haydens birth weight.

He is still BIGGER!

Yes, Cousin Finn is still bigger! Holding hands today!!

Happy Easter!

Little Sophie enjoyed her first Easter. She helped her big brother search for chocolate. Hayden thought she was the Easter Bunny for a second!!

You reap what you sow

Sophie is still beautiful (of course!). She is going to be a summer loving girl who looks after her parents...she slept 8 hours on Monday night when it had been 40 degrees for the day.

At the moment we are trying to come up with a nickname/term of endearment for her. Her dad has been calling her princess, but her mum is worried that if we call her princess she might turn into one (Yes, Princess Mary is lovely but what about the 'pretend princesses' of the world like Paris?!).

She is still sleeping lots, but also spending more time with eyes open, checking out the world.

My big little cousin

Here is Sophie meeting her cousin Finn Thomas for the first time. Finn is 10 days younger but about a kilogram heavier!
